Your journey

After immigrating to the Netherlands, I joined the Make it Work programme to retrain as a Java developer. Through this programme I was introduced to Tangelo. The first period was challenging, especially because communicating in a new language was difficult. At that moment, I felt real support from Tangelo. That support gave me confidence and motivation to start my career here. It did not take long before Tangelo felt like home. Seeing people from different backgrounds working together in a positive and respectful environment is what keeps me excited and motivated every day.

Your impact

Completing the Java programme and starting my first job in the Netherlands is something I am very proud of. I especially value the moments where I can clearly contribute to projects, collaborate confidently with my colleagues and receive positive feedback on my work. Being asked to take on a team lead role was a particularly meaningful moment for me. It showed that my efforts and growth were recognized and trusted.

Working at Tangelo feels open, respectful and supportive. Everyone is encouraged to share ideas, regardless of role or background. The atmosphere is informal but professional, with a strong focus on teamwork and mutual respect. This culture gives me the confidence to speak up, learn from others and grow without fear.

Growth

Tangelo has actively supported my development from the start. I have been challenged through meaningful projects and supported through training and language courses. Managers and colleagues are patient, approachable and always willing to help. This environment has helped me grow both technically and personally, and has allowed me to discover and develop my own strengths.

At Tangelo, I feel included and valued for who I am. My background is respected, and my ideas are taken seriously. This sense of belonging motivates me to contribute, improve and grow together with the team.

Your journey

The first thing that attracted me was the company’s product. It is a successful platform with a clear vision and a large number of satisfied customers. My role was, and still is, to develop and improve this platform using modern engineering approaches. The second thing that attracted me was the team. It is hard to find a warmer and more friendly atmosphere than at Tangelo. At the same time, these are true professionals, and it is a pleasure to solve technical challenges with them.

I like that I can influence the product. The company gives freedom in how tasks are carried out and listens to employees’ suggestions. It is an open structure where anyone can contribute improvements to the product.

Our culture

I can confidently say that I enjoy starting my workday at Tangelo. We have many pleasant moments as a team, our workflow is well organized, we occasionally hold team outing events, and on Thursdays we play board games.

Growth

My growth in the company as a specialist is driven by several factors. We work with modern development approaches, learn to apply new ideas, and look for more optimal solutions. We have resources to improve our product, which allows me to grow technically, and the ability to influence the product supports growth in related areas. The company is also invested in employee development and sponsors it, for example through courses.

Your Journey

Eight years ago, I started at Tangelo as an Office Manager. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to grow (including completing a finance programme) and I’m now stepping into my new role as Financial Controller. It’s exactly this space to keep learning and developing that has made me enjoy working here for so many years.

Your impact

When I joined Tangelo, the company consisted of just 15 full-time employees; today, it has grown to five times that size. As an Office Manager at the time, I wore many hats and kept many plates spinning. Alongside office management, I was responsible for financial administration, HR management, and part of facility management. I’ve had the opportunity to help build Tangelo and shape its company culture, which has been an incredibly rewarding experience to be part of.

What stands out to me most about Tangelo’s culture is the high level of responsibility and freedom I experience in carrying out my role. Tangelo is a flat organization with short lines of communication. I also greatly value Tangelo’s strong sense of good employment practices: as an employee, you are truly seen, and there is genuine consideration for your situation whenever possible. The atmosphere among colleagues is very pleasant — it’s the ideal mix of a professional company where hard work is valued and an informal, friendly culture at the same time.

One of the great things about working in a growing company is that it also offers employees the chance to grow along with it. It feels like being on a moving train that you can jump onto at the right moment. Your qualities and capabilities don’t go unnoticed, and opportunities are offered that actively support your personal and professional development.

The team at Tangelo is very diverse . A true cross-section of society, with people from all kinds of backgrounds. Everyone can truly be themselves here. We’re familiar with each other’s quirks and personalities and genuinely care about one another’s wellbeing. I go to work with pleasure every day, and alongside working hard, there is also a lot of laughter shared together.

Your Journey

I was drawn to Tangelo by the combination of the role itself and the chance to work for well-known organizations like Signify, IKEA and Schiphol. During my first interview, which turned into a long and open conversation, I immediately felt the down to earth mentality of the company. There was room for humor, the atmosphere was relaxed and I sensed a team that is willing to go the extra mile for each other. That mix, together with the freedom in the role, made the decision easy.
What keeps me excited is working on a tangible product for strong brands, and seeing the end result come to life.

Your impact

Although I have only been here for a few months, I already appreciate the moments where a project comes together within deadlines and expectations. Delivering high-quality work for international clients and seeing that our support genuinely helps them forward is motivating. I enjoy contributing in a way that allows the team to rely on me, even without going into project specifics.

Our culture

Day to day, working at Tangelo is defined by flexibility and trust. As a business consultant I can organize my own work, which gives both focus and space. The atmosphere in the office is open and approachable. People easily walk into each other’s offices, whether that is engineering, finance or the CEO, and everyone is willing to help when needed. You also feel that Tangelo is a growing company. The client base expands, teams get bigger and the product portfolio keeps developing, which brings energy and momentum to the organization

Growth

Tangelo has supported my development by making expertise easily accessible. Whenever I face a challenging topic or a complex client request, there is always someone willing to help. Since starting here, I have grown significantly in understanding annual reports and their design, something I had little experience with before. The combination of guidance and freedom has accelerated that learning curve.

I felt included from the first day. Before I even received my laptop or started onboarding, colleagues asked me what I wanted for the Thursday lunch so I could join right away. That small gesture showed how people here look out for each other. The atmosphere is one where everyone can contribute, as long as you add value to the team or the company.
