Announcing KPMG as Implementation Partner for Tangelo ESG Collect

We are pleased to announce that KPMG The Netherlands has joined Tangelo's implementation partner network for Tangelo ESG Collect, our solution for ESG data collection and upstream sustainability reporting processes. KPMG's involvement reflects the growing demand for structured ESG data management as sustainability reporting requirements continue to expand — and signals the kind of expert implementation support organizations increasingly need alongside the right technology.

A new solution for ESG data collection

Tangelo ESG Collect is a companion product to the Tangelo corporate reporting platform, designed to support the upstream processes that precede sustainability disclosures.

While Tangelo has long helped organizations produce annual reports and sustainability reports, ESG Collect focuses on what comes before: determining which data must be collected, assigning responsibilities across the organization, gathering information, and preparing it for disclosure.

The solution supports leading sustainability reporting frameworks out of the box — including ESRS 2023, ESRS VSME, and the ISSB Standards as issued — as well as local ISSB-based standards in the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and Australia. These frameworks come pre-structured within the platform, while remaining fully extendable with entity-specific disclosures and data points.

Through its integration with the Tangelo reporting platform, collected ESG data flows directly into sustainability disclosures within the annual or sustainability report.

Sustainability reporting at a turning point

The regulatory landscape is shifting fast. In Europe, companies preparing for upcoming CSRD reporting waves are building the processes needed to support structured sustainability reporting — while simultaneously adapting to the simplified ESRS framework.

Globally, jurisdictions are introducing ISSB-based sustainability standards, raising expectations around governance, data quality, and transparency.

As a result, organizations need more than technology. They need expert support to design and implement ESG data collection processes that are rigorous, scalable, and audit-ready.

How the partnership came together

"Sustainability reporting requirements are evolving rapidly, and organizations are working to structure their ESG data collection processes accordingly. What makes this solution particularly valuable is that ESG data collection is directly connected to the reporting process. With seamless integration into the report and built-in readiness for digital reporting and tagging requirements, organizations can establish a sustainability reporting process that is both efficient today and prepared for future regulatory developments." - Jordi Wardenburg, Partner Advisory National Practice, KPMG The Netherlands

What this means for organizations

Tangelo ESG Collect is designed so that teams familiar with sustainability reporting standards can operate the platform independently after initial setup and training. Tangelo provides the technical setup and functional onboarding to get organizations up and running quickly.

For organizations seeking additional support, implementation partners such as KPMG can assist with:

  • Translating double materiality assessment outcomes into reporting scope
  • Defining entity-specific disclosures and data structures
  • Setting up governance and task workflows for data collection
  • Supporting change management across the organization
  • Assisting with the preparation of sustainability disclosures

KPMG engages with clients independently, bringing their own methodology and professional judgment to each engagement. Tangelo provides the platform; KPMG provides the expertise — and together, the combination helps organizations build ESG reporting processes that are robust, efficient, and ready for what's ahead.

 Looking ahead

We are delighted to welcome KPMG The Netherlands to the Tangelo partner ecosystem.

Together, we aim to help organizations establish structured ESG data collection processes and connect them directly to the reporting process — combining best-in-class technology with deep sustainability reporting expertise to support the next generation of corporate disclosure.
