On August 18, 2021, the ARA announced online the results of the 2021 Australasian Reporting Awards. The Awards were established 71 years ago for excellence in preparing annual reports to improve the standards of financial reporting and communicating with stakeholders in Australia. Taking home 3 awards, New Zealand Super Fund is the big winner at the 2021 Australasian Reporting Awards!
New Zealand Super Fund won the top prize of 2021 ARA Report of the Year. The Report of the Year is selected from Winners of the Best Industry Sector Awards; New Zealand Super Fund won the Best in Sector Award for Financial Services. The judges found it "an outstanding themed report prepared with the needs of readers in mind. Outcomes are clearly linked to objectives, and easy to digest performance discussions are well-supported by visual aids and case studies."

For the third year in a row, CLP Holdings won the Special Award ‘Sustainability Report of the Year’ and received a Gold Award for their sustainability and annual report. The judges commented: “CLP has prepared a high-quality sustainability report with detailed coverage of material topics which is well-supported by ESG disclosures. The online format makes it very easy for readers to access sustainability-related information.”
CLP Holdings was also a finalist for the ‘Online Reporting – Private Sector’ special award.

AGL Energy was recognized with 2 Special Awards:
'Online Reporting - Private Sector' of which the judges said: “AGL provides easy access to key topics via an opening display of well-captioned images with invitations to click through to 'read more'. The content is presented succinctly in a simple, open style that is easy to read on the screen.”
About the ‘Integrated Reporting’ special award, the judges mentioned: “AGL Energy has produced a concise report with excellent application of integrated thinking and reporting. There is clear integration of business strategy with capitals, value drivers, business risks and the legitimate needs of shareholders.”
AGL Energy also received a Silver Award for its annual report.
